Samut Sakhon Province

The flag of Samut Sakhon Province was adopted during the early 1990s rollout of provincial flags in Thailand, when provinces received distinctive flags incorporating their official seals. Its seal depicts a Chinese junk before the coast with a factory and smoking chimney, representing the province’s maritime trading heritage as well as its industrial and fisheries sectors. The pink bands symbolize fertile land and cultural heritage, while the light-blue band represents the Gulf of Thailand and the province’s waterways.
