History
Phang Nga province adopted this flag in 2000 through the Thai Ministry of Interior. The design uses three equal vertical fields of dark blue, yellow, and pink with the provincial seal in the center. The seal depicts the Phu Khao Chang mountains in the background, Ko Tapu in the foreground, and a dredge representing the province’s historic tin-mining industry. This vertical tricolor format follows modern Thai provincial flag practice and replaced an earlier provincial flag that used the national flag with the provincial seal added.
